Former UFC star Darren Till shut down Dillon Danis’s recent attempt to motivate his fanbase ahead of his potential fighting return.
Dillon Danis has made more noise outside of fighting than inside the cage or ring, but that hasn’t stopped him from pursuing a potential next career chapter. The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu wiz is teasing a potential return to fighting for the first time since his head-scratching loss to Logan Paul in the boxing ring last year.
Since the loss to Paul, Danis has shared numerous clips from training alongside top minds like UFC superstar Alex Pereira. While it’s uncertain whether or not Danis will return to boxing or MMA, he’s back in the gym and appears serious about eventually resuming competition.
After Danis posted a cryptic message which alluded to newfound motivation, former UFC title challenger Darren Till slammed the polarizing athlete in a brutal social media response.
Darren Till slams Dillon Danis after teasing potential fighting return
It all began when Danis took a break from his continuous online trolling to attempt to inspire his following.
“The game ain’t over when you lose, it’s over when you give up,” Danis posted.
It didn’t take long for Till, who is scheduled to make his boxing return next month, to dismiss Danis’ attempt at motivational speaking.
“You have to achieve something in the game to act like ur in the game,” Till responded to Danis.
As of this writing, Danis hasn’t responded to Till’s jab. Before making his boxing debut last year, Danis accumulated a 2-0 MMA record in Bellator, defeating Max Humphrey and Kyle Walker.
Danis’ once-promising Bellator tenure came to an abrupt end following a lengthy hiatus. After a four-year MMA absence, Bellator parted ways with Danis last year, a full week after his defeat to Paul.
Till will make his professional boxing debut against Jake Paul’s former rival, Tommy Fury, at MF & DAZN: X Series 20 next month in Manchester. He won his exhibition boxing debut earlier this year over Mohammad Mutie by TKO.

While it seems Danis and Till aren’t allies, both athletes share some similarities. They’ve both amassed large followings on their social media pages amidst their fighting rises and falls, and both are looking to turn the page on some of their recent struggles out of competition.
Danis has teased a return to MMA for months, but as of this writing, nothing has come to fruition regarding a comeback to the cage. After a skid of losses in five of his last six UFC fights, Till parted ways from the promotion last year, but forecasts an eventual return to the Octagon.
Danis and Till are both known to push the envelope when it comes to pre and post-fight trash talk. Till recently got into a chaotic on-stage brawl with John Fury which forced an abrupt end to a pre-fight press conference.
As we continue to await Danis’ targeted return to combat sports, his detractors like Till continue to doubt his seriousness. Time will tell if Danis will eventually remind fans of his once-intriguing potential in fighting.
