KSI has added fuel to the fire ahead of Jake Paul and Mike Tyson’s eagerly awaited showdown tomorrow night at the AT&T Stadium, Texas.
The controversial clash will headline Netflix’s first ever live boxing event, with Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano colliding for the women’s undisputed super lightweight crown on the undercard.
Yet still, the main-event is set to deliver astronomical numbers in comparison to the more credible chief support, with Mike Tyson coming out of retirement in a bid to end Jake Paul’s boxing career.
But despite the undeniable intrigue surrounding their rapidly approaching dustup, several people, including YouTube star KSI, have remained largely critical of the former world heavyweight champion’s comeback.
KSI believes that Jake Paul will knock out Mike Tyson
Friday’s dustup was set to take place back in July, until it was ultimately postponed after Tyson sustained an ulcer flare-up.
Unsurprisingly, the medical issue has, in turn, sparked even more debate around whether he should be putting his 58-year-old body through an intense training camp.
‘Iron Mike’ was, of course, a once ferocious wrecking machine who, especially during the 1980s, would inspire fear among his closest rivals.
After he decisively lost to Kevin McBride in 2005, though, boxing fans collectively breathed a sigh of relief when Tyson chose to hang up the gloves.
However, with the American returning to a professional boxing ring nearly two decades later, it appears that concerns over his future well-being have now resurfaced.
Internet sensation and Misfits boxer KSI, for instance, believes that Tyson is in for a rude awakening when he faces Paul.
On X, he said: “Jake Paul will knock out Mike Tyson. This will not be close at all. Boxing is a young man’s game and Mike is 58 years old. They’re sending a lamb to the slaughter and it’s disgusting.”
Jake Paul clowns Mike Tyson at bizarre press conference
At Wednesday’s final press conference, Paul showed off a set of diamond ear protectors that he claims to be worth $200,000.
The accessory item is in reference to Tyson’s controversial rematch with Evander Holyfield back in 1997, when the Brooklyn-born bruiser bit a chunk of his opponent’s ear out.
Needless to say, the former heavyweight king was less than impressed, but instead decided to take his anger out on a reporter.
Still, regardless of the jibes exchanged between both combatants, Paul, who is nearly 30 years his opponent’s junior, will enter their clash as a sizable favorite.
