With FC Barcelona in the market for a new centre-forward for the summer, Dusan Vlahovic of Juventus has emerged as one of the targets for the club.
The Serbian international’s current contract with the Bianconeri expires at the end of the ongoing season, meaning he could be available for free in the summer.
Speculation about a move to Barça was fueled by Serbian national team’s fitness coach Dusan Ilic, who is close with Vlahovic, as he claimed that the striker will be moving to Catalonia in an interview last month.
Vlahovic headed for renewal with Juventus
However, as per the latest update from Sky Italia (h/t AS), Vlahovic and Juventus are now nearing an agreement over a new contract.
The 26-year-old towering striker is in the midst of negotiations with the Serie A heavyweights, and there is a lot of confidence within the club that an agreement can soon be reached.
This is despite Vlahovic attracting interest from not only Barcelona but also Bayern Munich.
Vlahovic has been at Juventus since 2022, when he joined from Fiorentina. While he has had his ups and downs, the striker has been a consistent source of goals for the Bianconeri when fit and available.
So far this season, the Serbian managed a return of six goals and two assists from 17 matches before he was sidelined with an adductor injury back in November 2025.
Vlahovic is closing in on making his return from the said injury, and it appears that he is also nearing a contract agreement to prolong his stay at the Allianz Stadium despite reports of interest from Barcelona and Bayern Munich.
