Jake Paul is embracing the glitz and glamor that comes with his lucrative showdown against Mike Tyson, taking place at the AT&T Stadium, Texas, later today.
The YouTube star’s 12th professional bout, headlining streaming juggernaut Netflix’s first ever live boxing event, has generated an obscene amount of interest too.
After all, the bona fide internet sensation is taking on legendary boxer Mike Tyson, a once formidable operator who claimed the world heavyweight title at the age of 20.
But now, with his 58-year-old returning to a professional ring for the first time in nearly two decades, Jake Paul is considered by many to have the ultimate advantage.
Jake Paul showcases his Jacob & Co. Billionaire Ashoka watch
Paul has insisted that he is the highest-earning fighter in professional boxing, claiming that he will be taking home a whopping 40 million dollars following his controversial clash with Tyson.
And yet, while his notoriety has allowed him to significantly bolster his earning potential, the 27-year-old has not exactly progressed in the most conventional sense.
Rather, Paul has largely made a name for himself in the sport by amassing victories against former UFC stars such as Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley and Anderson Silva.
And while he has produced several highlight reel knockouts along the way, it is yet to be seen whether he can deliver the same impact against a higher caliber of opposition.
Judging by his defeat to Tommy Fury last year, though, it is safe to assume that Paul, who has called out the likes of super middleweight king Canelo Alverez, does in fact have a ceiling.
But regardless, his new watch – a Jacob & Co. Billionaire Ashoka – indicates that, financially, there is very little to worry about.
Not only that, but with the accessory item containing over 300 Ashoka-cut diamonds, Paul’s latest addition to his jewelry collection is worth an astronomical $7 million.
While showcasing his flashy watch on social media, he said: “Thank you, Netflix.”
Jake Paul delivers career-highest paydays for Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano
Another fight taking place later this evening is an undisputed super lightweight clash between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano.
The pair locked horns back in 2022, when Taylor emerged victorious in a fiercely contested spectacle at Madison Square Garden, New York.
But now, both fighters will reportedly earn their career-highest pay checks, with Taylor rumored to secure $6 million while Serrano, despite losing their first encounter, is set to walk away with $8 million.
