Barcelona identify key revenue streams to reach €1.45 billion revenue target by 2030/31

Barcelona have set their sights on generating €1.45 billion in annual revenue by the 2030/31 season, with the club looking to strengthen its finances through the redevelopment of Spotify Camp Nou, commercial growth and the global expansion of its brand.

According to AS, the Blaugrana also want to increase EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortisation) to €370 million, almost double the current figure of €184 million.

For now, revenue alone, however, has not yet translated into consistent profitability.

Notably, Barcelona recorded €1.06 billion in revenue and €18 million in losses during the 2025/26 financial year.

For 2026/27, the club has budgeted for €1.195 billion in revenue and a profit of just €1 million, with both figures approved by the Members’ Assembly.

Spotify Camp Nou could transform Barcelona’s revenue

The return to a fully operational Spotify Camp Nou is central to Barcelona’s long-term financial strategy, although the board is pursuing several avenues of growth rather than relying exclusively on matchday income.

The club expects stadium-related revenue to reach €285 million in 2026/27, which would be an increase of €60 million on the previous year.

That figure could rise further as construction progresses and capacity gradually expands to 104,000 spectators.

Barcelona also intend to develop the venue’s wider commercial potential through VIP seating, hospitality, restaurants, the museum, events and naming rights.

The objective is to generate more money per visitor while making the stadium a year-round destination rather than a venue that primarily earns revenue on matchdays.

More to the story

Furthermore, Commercial activity is already Barcelona’s largest source of income.

The approved budget projects €577 million from this area, supported by sponsorship agreements and merchandising.

During 2025/26, sponsorships generated €265 million, while Barça Licensing and Merchandising (BLM) brought in €208 million.

The club sees further potential to expand its retail operations and leverage the global appeal of the Barcelona brand.

International projects could provide another revenue stream. Barcelona have reached an agreement with Ohana Real Estate to develop a Barça-inspired complex in Dubai, with the deal potentially worth €65 million.

La Masia could help strengthen financial position

Barcelona are also increasingly viewing player transfers and loans as part of their wider financial strategy.

On that note, La Masia remains central to the club’s sporting identity, but its graduates can also represent valuable assets in the transfer market.

The challenge for the board is to convert these different opportunities into sustainable growth.

Reaching €1.45 billion in revenue would mark a major milestone, but controlling costs and turning that income into meaningful profits will be just as important to Barcelona’s long-term financial recovery.
