Michael Bisping has opened up about the time he accidentally sent a movie star flying with a brutal right hook.
While ‘The Count’ was mortified when it happened, the incident has undeniably made for an amusing anecdote.
Michael Bisping accidentally dropped Noel Clarke while shooting a movie scene
Throughout his mixed martial arts career, Michael Bisping solidified his place as one of the toughest fighters to ever set foot inside the octagon.
However, it wasn’t just his warrior spirit that earned the respect of the fans, but his palpable charisma, which he’s now used to branch out into working in the movie industry.
This new avenue has allowed Bisping to showcase his acting prowess in a plethora of hit films, with the former UFC world champion regularly partaking in fight scenes.
However, on one occasion, things went horribly wrong, when he accidentally punched one of the biggest stars in the UK.

In an exclusive interview with Bloody Elbow, he chuckled: “Years ago, when I first started, I did a movie with Noel Clarke. We had this scene, and I play a Russian p*mp.
“Noel Clarke, he’s the writer, director and the star of the film. He comes in and we’ve got a fight scene. We rehearsed it a bunch of times. All we had to do, he throws a punch at me, I deflect the punch, and then, one right hook. I knock him out.
“We did it in slow motion, we rehearsed it about 20 times, but this was just after I’d done my eye, so I was still getting used to the depth perception. Now, I’m used to it. But back then I wasn’t.
“I wanted to make it look real on camera. They say, ‘Action’, the adrenaline is flowing. Any time when you’re doing things with guns, it’s intense.
“I’m in fight mode, he throws the punch, and I threw it, and I bl**dy clocked him, I was like, ‘Oh sh*t, I’m sorry’. He went down, he’s got an ice pack on his jaw. Sorry Noel.”
Michael Bisping stars in Den of Thieves 2: Pantera
Over the years, Bisping has continued to work on his craft, with the talented performer securing a role in Den of Thieves.
After appearing in the final scene of the first movie, the Englishman returned for the sequel, which released today.
And he’s so excited for people to see him feature in one of the biggest movies of the year, alongside Gerard Buttler and O’Shea Jackson Jr.
The icon enthused: “To be a part of the Den of Thieves franchise is incredible. The first film is brilliant. This one is gonna be even better.
“I remember at the time, the director and writer, Christian Gudegast, he’s a big mixed martial arts fan and a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt under Hixon Gracie, he reached out to me to have a part in it.
“I set up the sequel, we shot it in Tenerife last year. I had a great experience working with Gerard Butler and O’Shea Jackson Jr.
“You’ll see in the first one, I work as a security guard at a diamond’s place. And O’Shea Jackson Jr. is like, ‘Oh, at the Diamond Place’? Of course, you can figure it out from there; there’s a massive heist.
“It’s based on a true story. When we were filming in Tenerife, they actually had some people involved in the investigation sit us down in a movie theater and walk us through the investigation, so we all understood the gravity of the situation and what a big deal this was.
“It was meticulously filmed, great action and some great performances from me, included. Let’s go.”
