Jake Paul has hit out at his old rival Tommy Fury for turning down a monstrous payday in favor of a clash with a former UFC star.
The duo squared off in Saudi Arabia last year, with the Brit coming out on top after an intense cruiserweight clash. Instead of pursuing an instant rematch, Paul went on to face Nate Diaz, while Fury took on KSI in Misfits Boxing.
Earlier this year, they reportedly revisited the possibility of another fight, with Netflix the likely broadcaster worldwide. But it fell through, and Paul went on to fight Mike Tyson in a record-breaking heavyweight showdown.

Jake Paul tears into Tommy Fury over choosing Darren Till fight instead of rematch
In a tweet that stayed online for no more than a matter of minutes, Jake Paul tore into his old rival Tommy Fury for turning down the opportunity to fight a second time. He claimed to offer a whopping $8million for what would be a massive rematch, which would likely have been his best career purse.
Instead, Fury is going to fight Darren Till under the Misfits Boxing banner, with a potential rematch against KSI down the line. This irked Paul, who wrote: “Offered Fury $8M to fight on Netflix.
“He turned it down and now fighting an MMA fighter… Now tell me who is running? Stupid daddy controlled kid, protected from the inevitable.”
Tommy Fury teased potential Jake Paul fight in the PFL
Earlier this year, Tommy Fury reunited with his old training partner Tom Aspinall for a session in the MMA gym. And seemingly out of nowhere, he suggested that he could fight Paul in the PFL cage for their rematch, instead of the boxing ring.
Paul is signed for an eventual fight in the Smart Cage, and has an equity stake in the promotion where he has taken on an ambassadorial role. Fury, during a YouTube video with Aspinall, took note of a pair of PFL gloves, saying he would like a bout in the cage.
“Jake Paul’s in the PFL, isn’t he?” He asked, to which Aspinall replied: “Oh, I love that then.” Fury then added: “I’m going to smash his face in when I get good at MMA. I’ll beat him in boxing and the cage. Big useless pr***.”
“I reckon a year-and-a-half, to two years of training, until I’ll beat him in a fight no problem in the cage. He’s got the funds, he’s got the best sparring partners in the world. So, he’s doing alright. But, no match for me.”
